Diigo Experience
I personally enjoyed learning about Diigo and I think it's a wonderful tool to bookmark information and annotate websites, but it's not really something I'm personally interested in. there are some limitations and tools that I wish were included in the features Diigo has with its' annotation feature, though the bookmark part of the software does seem all inclusive and able to be organized efficiently. I like how searchable information is on the bookmark section, if and only if the keywords and tags in addition to the comment on the bookmark is thorough and thought through to make sure it is actually searchable for the desired information, otherwise it's basically useless in my mind. the annotation capabilities we went through were cool but I would've like for the sticky-note feature to be more user friendly and able to be resized to fit the website page for easier access to them without compromising the information on the website which may or may not include other notations that are highlighted.
Blogging
I enjoy blogging a decent amount as it helps me organize my thoughts at times and it also gives me a forum to express myself in a very organized and easy way. Honestly, I've always kinda hated blogging and thought it to be useless and a waste of time as I know what I think and don't need anyone else to necessarily know, but I've discovered through this exercise that it is helpful to write things it so my mind isn't jumbled and I can think about other things. I've also been able to think things through more carefully and extensively as typing things out can sometimes make me rethink my perspective or give me a chance to see what's in my mind on paper and just look at it to see maybe where I judged too harshly or didn't think something through as thoroughly as I could, giving me more perspective by seeing what I'm thinking in a different way than how it is currently -- jumbled up in my head. during the blogging process I've learned that there's quite a bit more capabilities in blogging than just "journaling" or making it into an inner monologue of sorts, there's ways to organize thoughts and customize different experiences through images and videos and other things that help get your point across or simply illustrate your thought processes in a particular entry.
Web 2.0 Tool
One of my classmates mentioned a Web 2.0 tool in our most recent assignment that was to discuss these tools on slack, they mentioned google classroom as something that was considered a Web 2.0 tool. personally I've never used this platform before but i've heard of it when it's being compared to Microsoft teams or being used in the classroom, like for example during Covid-19. it's something I'd be interested in using in my classroom one day as the many features it has and other programs that can be used along with it, are things that I think would be incredibly helpful in leveling the playing field for those not familiar with technology while also bringing innovation and new technology into the classroom to begin learning about as something to utilize in the future. I only see the platform improving with each passing year as the company is one that continues to adapt to the ever-changing world, and I would love the privilege of introducing this tool (or reintroducing) to the classroom as something to take full advantage of, not just using it as a surface level resource - as many did during the pandemic. I don't know exactly how to link this tool to the blog other than on its' basic level, as it's something that can only be utilized when used in conjunction with an already set up classroom shell, however this is something that will change with the times and already has a vast amount of features that have allowed already for it's use during the pandemic when technology had to adapt quickly, and it did.
