Teacher Pages
A lot of teacher being required to maintain pages for their classroom is something that makes sense to me for the parent or student, having access to important information quickly, but requiring this is not something that I agree with. Teachers already provide information to parents and teachers through handouts and emails and newsletter, to expect another way of communication that may or may not be consumed, is a waste of time, as it only serves as a way to organize information more effectively and exhibits proficiency of technology. Publicly, teacher pages and websites often feature resources and information on the students' curriculum, also including ways for parents to be involved through purchasing supplies or volunteer work. The expectation of an additional medium to display the same information over again is pointless and if handouts and other forms of communication were discontinued in exchange for creating a webpage, I'd be all for it, one concise way to spread information in a time where technology reigns supreme, but expecting this on top of other required outreach methods is not taking into account what's best for all parties involved. especially since many schools already have an online portal with information like grades, the teacher webpage would not be nearly as inclusive as it would need to be in order to be necessary, in my opinion.

Technology Use
I envision myself utilizing technology wherever possible to be more efficient, as I'm very concerned with time being a factor in all things and see no reason to do something "the old-fashioned way" or "the way things always have been done" if there's an easier and more effective way to do things, namely through technology. if you do things the way they've always been done, you'll only get the results you've already gotten, ergo no room for improvement or advancement in the field. I'd expect myself to continue using all google programs lie google docs, classroom, excel, calendar, slides, etc. however, I also think the I'd utilize programs like signupgenius.com, zoom, remind, Microsoft office programs, Canva, weebly, and maybe slack as well. I see myself using technology as a resource for learning and a way to innovate the learning process, mainstreaming methods to reach students in their environments and in ways that take into account how they grew up with technology and use it in their lives currently.
Assignment 2
The Canvas group tool was really cool and I never realized how professors have been able to create such organized modules and information on their pages. there were a few things that I think would be worth changing, but overall it was very neat and my group was able to figure everything out with little to no major issues. I only would recommend making the launch helper tool more user-friendly and simplistic, and to allow more personalization outside of the block/templates available to create sections within the pages. The canvas group was very helpful though, my group was able to use the group to contact each other through canvas and discuss the project seamlessly, also utilizing Google Docs to assist in collaborating and communication. I'd be interested in trying to use Microsoft teams which I've heard could be a useful tool that similar to canvas groups, but I have no personal experience with it so I'm unsure how it would compare exactly.
